CPE and Daycare Workshops

We are very happy to announce that our popular daycare programming is starting for Fall 2020.

Very distinct changes have been made to our daycare procedures and programs to accommodate the exceptional situation of COVID-19. These measure are in date of September 18th 2020.

Our experience running summer camps during these unprecedented times has greatly contributed to our confidence in confronting this unique set of circumstances. Summer was extremely successful and we believe we can adapt all we learned during this time to our Daycare and After school programs.

The measures we have taken in regards to all our Daycare workshops are aligned with those applied in childcare services and based on the recommendations made by the CNESST in order to ensure safety.

As added measures we require each daycare who wishes to offer our services to fill out a form that outlines their specific policies and procedures so we can prepare our teachers and adapt our procedures and programming to accommodate the unique needs of each installation.

Our mission remains to provide a positive environment where children can learn, grow and be happy!

• Group ratios:
• Unless otherwise requested, our ratio will not exceed 8 children per workshop.
• Social distancing and protective gear:
• Our animators are instructed to wear masks at all times and respect the social distancing rules of the installation. It is our understanding that shields do not replace masks but may be used with a mask to replace protective eye gear if required.
• Programming:
• Our programs have always been based in fun and games with great consideration to the developmental milestones related to early childhood education. We remain true to that approach however we have instructed our animators to adapt games to respect the social distancing, it is our understanding of the safety recommendations that children do not have to social distance between themselves.
• Material:
• Langmobile has always had the approach to use material that stimulates fine and gross motor skills. We are committed to continuing to do so and we will share material with children unless specifically requested by the installation.
• Most installations have multiple workshops, we will clean the material between workshops within installation. We have also instructed our animators to clean material between installations
• Material between workshops within installation can be cleaned with a cleaning product provided by and approved by the installation .
  We understand the recommendations allow
• Children to share material between themselves however we will try to control that as we wish to reduce cross contamination between groups.
• Health and Hygiene measures:
• Our animators are instructed to wash hands upon arrival at a daycare.
• Our animators are supplied with hand sanitizer and asked to frequently use it before, during and after class.
  The daycare is asked to provide hand sanitizer for the children to use before if that is their policy.
• Our animators will not be responsible for the cleaning rooms between groups but are happy to participate in any way that the daycare can use support in this process.
• Our animators are required to do an auto-evaluation of their health state before they arrive at the daycare, meaning, they check that they do not have symptoms, have not been in contact with anyone with symptoms, have not travelled, are not waiting for test results.
• We ask that if a case of Covid has been reported in an installation that the daycare communicates directly with our animators and informs our office immediately so we may support our animators in the proper safety measures.

A half day under the theme of Langmobile!

We have more than one trick in our bag: Music, Yoga, Gym ... But our specialty: fun!

Workshops offered in English, French, Spanish or Italian.

The children learn through familiar themes and easy integration of the engaging melodies and lyrics of Langmobile’s original songs. Physical expression, mime, crafts and repetition of vocabulary are integrated throughout all the songs and activities.

Morning, afternoon or complete day.

We offer sessions of 8 to 20 weeks, between September and June.

Langmobile animators...

• Have excellent language skills
• Have experience with children
• Are usually in university or have completed a bachelor’s degree often in education, English as a second language, psychology, dance, music or sports.
• Have first aid training
• Are sensitive to the learning of a new language for a child
• Have completed a training with Langmobile on our approach to children
• Are respectful and understanding
